Morning permit formalities at the Immigration Office in Phuentsholing, a mandatory step before entering Bhutan. Once cleared, drive to Thimphu, the capital city, via the Gedu-Chukha route (approx. 5–6 hours). Check in and relax in the evening. Overnight at Thimphu.
Morning sightseeing in Thimphu, covering the Buddha Dordenma Statue, Tashichho Dzong, Memorial Chorten and the National Institute for Zorig Chusum (traditional arts and crafts). After lunch, drive to Paro (approx. 1.5–2 hours), with a stop at Chuzom, the point where three rivers meet. Overnight at Paro.
A flexible day. Guests can either hike up to Tiger's Nest Monastery (Paro Taktsang), a 4–5 hour round trek, or take it easy with local sightseeing covering Rinpung Dzong, the National Museum and Paro town. Overnight at Paro.
Return drive to Phuentsholing (approx. 6–7 hours), kept free of sightseeing stops for a comfortable, unhurried journey back. Overnight at Phuentsholing.
